It’s how we differentiate ourselves- this is truly a neighborhood meeting place, where the community comes to relax and interact, and many friendships have developed here. 
We have been true to our mission to become a community resource, and have been involved with a plethora of local organizations, including the Blick Clinic, the JCC, the Sierra Club, the Humane Society of Greater Akron, have been quite active in supporting breast cancer research (we just handed out free coffee to the many walkers at Akron U this weekend), Crown Point. We have developed a ‘Summit Blend’ for 91.3 public radio, and support their fundraising efforts as well as NPR. And much, much more.
We support many local school fundraising efforts, such as Spring Garden Waldorf school, Firestone, the Elms, Case elementary, Miller South, and many others. Finally, we have created a venue for many local aspiring artists to share their music, display their crafts- ‘do their thing’ in an intimate, relaxed environment… 
we’ve even had student recitals, an awards ceremony for an inner city science fair competition, and occasionally host political figures and other leaders in order to encourage their informal accessibility to the community.
